First meeting of the project board

In September, the first meeting open to mental health care professionals who are affected by the topic of raising human rights standards and developing a supportive and safe environment in psychiatric inpatient care will take place. For example, the Secretary of the Government Mental Health Council and a destigmatisation specialist from the National Institute of Mental Health have promised to attend.

The meeting will offer a space for a closer acquaintance with the activities of the project and the concrete outputs that have been achieved in the first six months of implementation, but also a space for discussion. The project experts will share their findings from the internship abroad in Norway and from the development of the Recording Restraints Methodology. Some of the project participants, i.e. experts from specific psychiatric care units that have been actively involved in the project, will also offer their experience and insight.

The project board will meet three more times before the end of the project, i.e. by April 2024, and participants will also be invited to the final conference of the project.

The meeting will take place on Tuesday, September 20, 2022, from 2 to 3 p.m. ONLINE. It will be led by project experts Mgr. Pavel Říčan and Mgr. Marek Procházka and project manager Mgr. Lenka Březinová. Those interested in attending the meeting can contact hola@cmhcd.cz to register, get more detailed information on the programme and a link to the meeting.
